Winter is officially upon us and many parts of Europe are covered in snow. Perhaps you see this as a great opportunity to enjoy the snow and mountains of Europe, or perhaps you seek a holiday with warm sun rays and beautiful beaches. If you prefer the latter, you are in luck. We have prepared a list of our favourite beaches worldwide to give a little warm inspiration during these cold winter months.
Where: Turks and Caicos, Caribbean
The small Caribbean island located at the very top of our list, because it is a popular area due to the well-known beaches at Taylor Bay and Grace Bay. Divers and people snorkeling also flock to explore the colourful coral reef.
2. Eagle Beach
Aruba is one of the Dutch Antilles just outside Venezuela, where the houses in the main town are very similar to those in Amsterdam. Eagle Beach is an idyllic beach in the Caribbean with white sand and turquoise water. Aruba is only 32 miles long and can be easily explored by bike or moped.
Tulum is ideal for relaxation and romance, as beach guests can sunbathe on the beautiful beaches of the Yucatan peninsula, close to the ancient ruins. Tulum is a mix of beach, archeology and village, which is perfect for a romantic holiday.
The main beach, called Seven Mile Beach, is, as the name suggests, seven miles long and is the attraction that draws most visitors to Negril. At this beach, people are welcome to sunbathe topless while there are also nude areas.
5. Saint Pete Beach
Snow-white sand, playful dolphins and the eight surrounding islands make St. Pete Beach the destination of your dreams. Located on a peninsula on Florida’s west coast, it is an ideal place to experience Florida’s wild beauty.
Although Boracay is not very big, there are plenty of great beaches to choose from. Yapak Beach is known for its beautiful white shells, White Beach has beautiful sunsets, and Balinghai Beach is a popular remote attractions away from the every day stress.
Cancun is famous for its golden beaches and the climate is perfect for a holiday destinations on the Mexican coast. This paradise by Yucatan is also a gateway to the ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itza.
8. Punta Cana
Where: Dominican Republic
Here you will find 40 kilometers of white sand, tall coconut trees and crystal clear water. Punta Cana is a tropical destination with reasonable prices and known for its many large resorts. This popular destination in the Dominican Republic has long been a destination for European tourists.
9. Miami Beach
On the coast of Miami Beach, visitors can swim, surf and jet skiing in the warm, crystal clear Atlantic waters. You can also take a nap in the white sand, work on your tan or just look at the beautiful people – especially on South Beach, which is famous for it lifeguard houses in bright colors.
Cuba’s best beach is located on a 21 km long peninsula with soft powder sand. Sip a refreshing mojito to cool off after a long day full of sun, swimming and perhaps deep sea fishing.
