If you travel by rental car you can in many cases bring your pet along. Many hotels also welcomes dogs. Be aware though that certain rules apply. If you want to travel in a rental car with your dog you should know that you are solely responsible for any interior damages that your pet might cause. Always let your dog travel safe, either in a special safety belt (harness) or in a transport box. Our car rental suppliers do not offer any boxes so remember to bring your own. Always make sure your dog travels safely. That means your dog should not be free to move about in the car and loose items should always be secured and stored in the boot to avoid unneccessary injury in case of an accident.

Never leave your dog in the rental car during hot weather. The temperature can quickly reach over 60 – 70 Celsius and can be hazardous for your dog. Also bring enough water to drink during the journey.

Dogs have the bad habit of leaving hair behind and never wiping their paws after being out. Therefore we recommend you to bring a dog blanket along to avoid dirt on the car seat. Before drop off please be sure to remove any traces from your dog, otherwise the car renter might charge you for extra cleaning.
