Car hire insurance part 2: USA

Traveling is exploring new countries, cultures and people. From place to place, you can see the same things from a different perspective. If you hire a car in the USA, the insurance conditions vary as well. We have put together a list of insurance types included in Auto Europe rates to make it easier for you to travel.

Auto Europe car hire offers include all necessary insurance, therefore you must not worry or purchase additional options at a car hire desk. Here is the list of what is included in our rates:

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
LDW eliminates your responsibility in the event of damage or loss of the rental vehicle.
Most of the car hire suppliers include coverage for tires and windscreen as well – you may check it under: Terms, Conditions & Local Fees on our booking mask.
Unlike most of the European suppliers, it is common in the USA that CDW (Car Damage Waiver) and TP (Theft Protection) is with zero excess.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)
SLI provides liability coverage up to USD 1.000.000,00 for damages outside the vehicle

Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP)
Most of our offers include this policy. UMP protects you if there are damages caused to a hired vehicle by an insured motorist.

If you wish an extra insurance, you may apply locally at an additional price for:

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
PAI provides you with emergency medical care and transportation in case of an accident during your car hire time.

Personal Effects Coverage (PEC)
PEC insures your personal effects.

Remember that all additional insurance policies are not mandatory and you are not obliged to purchase one locally at a car hire desk. It is best to call our toll free number for insurance advice. Our agents will explain the terms so that you can book and prepare for your journey! We wish you a safe trip!
